INSIGHT
Fridays for Future is a website dedicated to a global climate strike movement created in August 2018 and led by young students and activists. Even though this strike has been gaining more and more popularity, its website desperately needed a redesign to be clearer, cleaner, and more concise with its information.
GOAL
At first glance, the old version of the website was highly overwhelming, with its several buttons and information spread everywhere. This lack of consistency resulted in the loss of interest of the viewers towards the website. My objective with this project was to find a more captivating and simpler design that would lead the viewers to understand what Fridays for Future is.
OUTCOMETo fix these problems, I tried to organize the heavy amount of information and summed it up more cleanly and simply. This website has as its target audience young adult activists. Therefore I wanted to keep a fresh and modern look with very saturated colours to draw the attention of the younger minds. At the same time, I wanted to show the reality that the environment is experimenting with nowadays, so I attached images showing the cruel reality in which we live. This new design is very straightforward, and playful, but at the same time, honest and real.
